PARTSLIST FOR LOW COST-RFID READER
Parts are listed in aphabetical order by their names on the circuitboard (first column), with the necessesary parts listed first and the optional parts at the bottom. Sources refer to the following online vendors: www.newark.com, www.mouser.com, www.digikey.com, http://avnetexpress.avnet.com, www.arrownac.com, and www.futureelectronics.com. The vendors listed for each part are not necessarily the sole source, but they are probably the cheapest. Some parts can be found at almost any vendor. I recommend www.findchips.com for a convenient way to search for parts among all the vendors listed here as well as several others. In some cases alternate parts are shown. Alternate parts probably exist for every component exceot the microprocessor (PIC16F688) and the RFID module (U2270B). The total parts cost is shown at the bottom of the list. Don't forget to factor in circuitboards, batteries, circuit housing and antennas when figureing up the total cost of a system.
